Vertical Upward Discharge Floor Mounted Induction Unit
The Carson Solutions CS-ID induction unit is designed to be a direct replacement for owners, engineers, and architects looking to replace older, inefficient, legacy-style induction units. The CS-ID floor mounted induction unit comes standard with a vertically mounted hydronic heat exchanger, linear vertical discharge slot, and sloped condensate drip tray.
Keep comfortable knowing your space is healthy! The Carson Solutions CS-ID Induction Unit utilizes an induction process to draw room air through the Induction Unit heat exchanger. This provides superior thermal comfort in heating and cooling while allowing for the introduction of fresh outside air for improved indoor air quality.
With no moving parts within the CS-ID which minimizes sound and the maintenance requirements. Multiple CS-ID’s can be installed to provide the primary supply air and utilize hot or chilled water to control space conditions precisely for maximum comfort. The CS-ID Induction Unit is floor mounted, typically installed along the perimeter wall under the windows and delivers supply air in a vertically upward discharge motion. Induced room air mixes with primary conditioned fresh air to deliver a combined airflow stream to the occupied space. The Carson Solutions CS-ID is a modern Induction Unit will improve efficiency to maximize cooling and heating while delivering superior performance and thermal comfort!
CS-IDs can be installed either within existing cabinetry or provided with customized cabinets to provide an updated look. If custom cabinets are part of the renovation scope, Carson Solutions can offer sheetmetal options to enclose and protect the IDU equipment.
Our Induction Units are engineered to provide high cooling and heating capacities by conditioning the room air while simultaneously supplying fresh conditioned, code required, outside (primary) air to the occupied areas.
Fully Sealed Plenum Design
Induction Units operate by receiving fresh air from an air handler to the unit housing; this creates an induction process that draws room air through an integrated water coil that additionally heats and cools with water flow.
The fresh airflow and retreated induced air mix to deliver superior thermal comfort in heating and cooling while allowing for the introduction of fresh outside air for improved indoor air quality.

Maintenance
Spend less time worrying about HVAC downtime. Our Induction Units have no moving pieces or parts so there is very little chance of something breaking or wearing out! Once a year, typically during summer maintenance schedules, the facilities teams clean the hydronic coil to inspect for small lint collection. A light vacuum procedure might be needed.
CS-ID-12
The Carson Solutions CS-ID-12 Induction Unit is a shorter/wider model than the CS-ID-17 and comes in many configurations to suit the performance and sizing needs of the space. All CS-ID’s come with a welded and powdercoat slope condensate drip tray. Each drip comes with a ant-clog drain fitting and is capped from the factory.
CS-ID-17
The Carson Solutions CS-ID-17 Induction Unit is a taller/narrower model than the CS-ID-12 and comes in many configurations to suit the performance and sizing needs of the space. All CS-ID’s come with a welded and powdercoat slope condensate drip tray. Each drip comes with a ant-clog drain fitting and is capped from the factory.
